The Social Events group provides an opportunity for any member to suggest an event they are interested in. Other members are then invited to join them. Arrangements are generally made via WhatsApp. Each member pays for their own ticket and a share of any other expenses. Car sharing is encouraged.

This is a social get-together/do things together idea which has worked well in this its first year.

Recent visits have included:

• National Theatre live performances (Vanya, Nye and Prima Facie) in the cinema
• Lavery Art Exhibition in Ulster Museum
• Belfast War Museum
• Lyric and Burnavon Theatres
• Grand Opera House
• Private Garden
